While school was out....

Whitney's summer break from preschool came and went in the blink of an eye!  Here is the recap in photos...

First things first ... Grammie and Pop came to visit over Memorial Day weekend and my dad helped Ben paint Whitney's room ... and we transitioned her to the "big girl bed!"  She is "lounging" here while watching Daniel Tiger on the iPad!  She has loved the upgrade in bedroom status!!

 

 This was Whitney's first round of summer swim lessons with her teacher, Mitch, whom she loved!

A fun Friday night watching the Indianapolis Indians play ball!  We kept Whitney occupied with lots of snacks!  Funny how the snack containers can be entertaining, too! ;)

On June 11 our new niece, Isabella "Izzy" Rae, was born to Ben's sister, Sarah, and our brother-in-law, Gabe, in Anchorage, Alaska!  And we thought waiting for the royal baby was bad!  Izzy was fashionably 2 weeks late, but look how cute she is!  Worth the wait!

Whitney is hugging her good buddy, Charlee, after a fun week of Vacation Bible School that they enjoyed together!  Ben and I can practically sing all of the words to the VBS CD now!!!

We were excited to get a visit from "Grandma" Carol in July!  She was the nurse that helped take care of Whitney after she came home from the hospital.  Carol has since moved to TX, but we were thrilled to spend some time with her when she came up for a family reunion!

We celebrated 12 years of wedded bliss (mostly--ha!) in Santa Claus, IN, at Holiday World!  We had a fun day at the Splashin' Safari water park!

The weekend before school started back, we enjoyed a trip to Silver Beach in St. Joseph, Michigan!  This was Whitney's first beach experience and she knew just what to do!  I am pretty sure we're still finding sand in crazy places! ;)

Monday, August 12, 2013: Back to school at Learning Tree!  This is our baby girl's last year of Pre-K.  She is loving her class so far!
