Uncharted Territory: the Third Trimester and our first Garage Sale!

The last few weeks have brought continued change and excitement through Whitaker World.  I am thrilled to have crossed the threshold into the third trimester...and am on the eve of 30 weeks gestation!  I have already made it 6 weeks further than I did with Whitney, which is truly a blessing!  I really knew I had made it when I had to drink that delicious "Glucola" drink for my glucose testing at 28 weeks!! :)  Some days I feel like a permanent catheter might not be such a bad idea but, otherwise, things are going really well!

After work one day last week--28.5 weeks.  Whitney usually runs from the camera, but she loves to be in the belly pics! ;)

Here I am, today, at almost 30 weeks.  My little "photog" daughter wanted to take a picture of me in the hula hoop (just for giggles, I guess).  So this is me, headless, waiting with hands on hips to see what she was doing, and she inadvertently got a decent belly pic.  Ha!

In other news, we survived our first garage sale last weekend!  Over the last few months, we have been cleaning out cabinets, closets, and cupboards to optimize space for our new little one (not that we're planning to put he/she in a closet or cupboard)!  We are pretty good about not hanging on to too much old or unused stuff, but we still found a decent amount of things we could part with.

We couldn't have asked for better weather last Friday (even though it rained some on Saturday) and it ended up being a pretty fun day with several other neighbors participating, as well!  We're not ready to retire with our earnings, but it was still worth it. ;)  Whitney also profited from the experience with her first lemonade stand!  Thanks to "Pinkalicious and the Pink Drink," Whitney has wanted to have a lemonade stand for a while and she was also wanting a $3.99 Doc McStuffins app for the iPad that we told her was too expensive (what happened to the free apps?!), so she became a high-pressure lemonade saleswoman and made enough money to buy her app!

Whitney hounded every customer with a chant of "Lemonade!  Lemonade for sale!  Lemonade!"  She was very persistent.  Pinkalicious would have been proud.

 Sampling the product between customers!

One last milestone to report on from the past month: Whitney can jump!  Both feet off of the ground at the same time!  This was a big goal for school PT this past year, so her therapist, Miss Jamie, will be really proud to see that Whitney has reached new heights! :)

You go, girl!
