Summer Fun--Part 2

Summer isn't my most favorite season--as far as the weather goes.  The heat requires extra maintenace: washing my hair more than every other day (too sweaty), shaving my legs everyday (for shorts and swimsuits), and applying smelly self-tanner (this white-girl needs all the help she can get).  In other words, I am a dirt ball! :) Bring on the crisp temps and blue jeans!  However, there's nothing like summer memories!  It's been so much fun to watch Whitney continue to morph into her little self and enjoy lots of fun times...and people!

Our small group enjoyed a fun, HOT July evening as we waited for fireworks!  The kids all made it until the production was over after 10:30 p.m.!  Whitney is taking a juice box break with buddies, Ellie and Normie.

Thanks to the "Cake Boss" for this easy and yummy 4th of July recipe!  Strawberries dipped in melted white chocolate and blue sprinkles!  Natural sugar + added sugar = winning combination!  Ha!  That is my non-dietitian opinion!

Whitney's first slip 'n slide experience at a friends house on Independence Day!  Brings back lots of childhood memories!!

Princess tea party with pal, Kenny, who Whitney is always thrilled to see when Kenny is visiting her grandparents next door!

Water-logged girls, Whitney and Jetta...patiently waiting for popsicles!

Brad, Blair & Ella came for a mid-July visit.  It was great to catch up with B & B, and the cousins had a ball playing together!  Ella's even flashing the peace sign in this pic!

Can't get much better than ice cream cones and sundaes with friends, Abby and Ellie!

Ben braved the first Colts preseason game of the year with none other than...wild, wiggly, Whitney!!  He needed a few extra Advil when he got home, but they survived and made memories! ;)

The annual NICU reunion was a super-fun day with beautiful weather!  Even more special to share the day with cousin Tyler...and DORA!!

As summer-fun winds down, Whitney is gearing back up for a memorable preschool year!  She started back to the "4-year-old" Maples class at Learning Tree last week!  I can't believe she will actually turn 4 later this week!!!
