February is flying by faster than Cupid can shoot an arrow!! And the "love" month has not disappointed in the love category. Glad to be loved, show love, have loves...and speaking of a little love who is celebrated this month.....
Sadly, later on the 11th, Whitney Houston passed away--sending shock waves around the world, and flooding our minds with musical memories. When I think of Whitney in her glory days, this is the picture that comes to my mind. This was the cover of her first, self-titled album, and my first ever cassette tape. Boy, did I love her music as a kid and teen! I have been listening to The Bodyguard soundtrack in the car all week--remembering what a great talent Whitney was. As I watched her funeral today, despite the numerous public struggles she has had over the years, it was evident that her faith in God was very real. Her influence and legacy will surely live on.....
Speaking of talented "Whitney's", here is my little "van Gogh" in the making! I am usually ready to commit myself after painting time, but she had lots of fun and now we have some new canvas art in her room!
It's amazing how everything becomes a canvas once Whitney is on the loose!!!
Here is a sampling of "masterpieces" on our fridge!! All of the ones on the lower half of the fridge are the ones that she conveniently finds out of the recycling bin!! ;) I am SO my mother! My brother used to always wonder where all of his artwork went! Ha!!
